When a toddler graduates on to Pre-School, one of the main requirements is that the student needs to be fully potty-trained. This means the child must be completely off wearing diapers or pull-ups.
In the same aspect, infant children who are not trained to drink from a bottle and trained to sleep on their own (not coddled) are NOT ready for daycare.
In a daycare, your infant will be in a group-style setting. This means your childcare provider has multiple children under their care and will not have the time to carry your infant around all day. An infant who cannot drink from anything other than mom's breasts will not tolerate daycare very well and can sometimes be frustrating for them, since mom is not present at daycare.
In order to prepare your infant, you will need to train them in bottle feeding and sleep training in a crib. Otherwise, perhaps a personal nanny approach
For this and a list of other things, please contact us to see if your child is ready for a daycare setting.
